For the first time, we’re running the Bring Warmth Awards, where five communities have the chance to win £500 to put towards community outreach projects.
Prizes will be awarded to those going above and beyond to spread a little warmth this winter by helping fellow residents feel warm, well and welcome. The competition is open to any group, from a street to a residents’ association or a school.
About the Award
Do you work hard to bring a little warmth to your community? Are you committed to bringing people together and spreading a little cheer? Then we want to hear from you.
It is always important to support communities and projects that go above and beyond to help people, but particularly so at this time of year. That’s why, as part of our Winter Wise campaign, United Utilities has developed the Bring Warmth Award to recognise those making a real difference to lives in Cumbria, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside.
In 2017 we’re placing emphasis on Communication, Cohesion and Cheer.
We’re looking to award 5 x £500 to projects or groups that communicate important messages to everyone in the community, bring different parts of the community together, that tackle social isolation and that generally bring a smile to the faces of local people.
Whether it’s outreach, training, workshops, tea dances, food banks, support sessions, home visits, community arts or something else, we want to help you carry on the good work and reach out to more people.
Together we can help you bring warmth to your community.
